FEES AND FINANCIAL AID

Every student accepted at TSiBA is awarded a full tuition scholarship for the CPBA or the HCBA. A further scholarship to study TSiBA’s BBA degree may be awarded on

1) successful completion of the HCBA OR
2) successful completion of the application process

In 2014 all BBA- 1 students are required to pay a percentage of the scholarship in the form of a sliding scale tuition fee. All students enrolling for the BBA programme will pay fees based on a means test.

The means test used by TSiBA is based on a fair practice of linking family earnings with the number of people supported by that income.

Sliding scale tuition fees will be reassessed on an annual basis and the fees for all those that successfully meet the requirements for that academic merit list will automatically be adjusted.

A TSiBA Education tuition scholarship includes:

• Academic infrastructure – lecturers, tutors, classrooms
• Academic materials – textbooks, course packs
• Examination materials – examinations answer booklets, exam papers
• Experiential learning activities – e.g. internships, orientation camp, wilderness programme, hero speakers
• Support Services – counseling, Ignition Centre, Careers Centre
• Access to the use of computer laboratories
• An allocated amount of paper for printing and photocopying purposes.
• One student card
• Name badge
• Use of locker
• Access to the use of a fully stocked library
• Breakfast during term time, sponsorship dependent

A tuition scholarship does not include the following:

• Transportation
• Accommodation
• Lunch, dinner, refreshments
• Stationery
• Clothing
• General subsistence

Students from out of town who are accepted at TSiBA Eden are awarded a further hostel scholarship that includes:
• Accommodation
• Lunch, dinner, refreshments

TSiBA Eden also provides transportation for students who do not board (e.g. live in Sedgefield, Knysna or neighbouring towns).
