TSiBA and the new B-BBEE codes

In the revised broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes of Good Practice the definition of beneficiaries for Skills Development has been expanded from employees to include expenditure more broadly on unemployed black people. The new codes have also doubled the expenditure required to meet compliance targets in this category.

Since TSiBA is an accredited education institution, all bursaries to TSiBA now qualify for Skills Development expenditure. Given the timing of these codes we welcome discussion from interested parties who have this item in their strategic agenda.

Digital marketing agency Webgrowth is helping to change this by partnering with TSiBA to change young people’s lives in the Western Cape by imparting critical entrepreneurial, leadership, and e-marketing skills.
