“What is your business model and how does it work?” – This was the overarching question of the workshop held by TSiBA Ignition Centre and Cape Town Chamber of Commerce on 27th of February, 2015 for small business owners from the Mitchells Plain.  Eight entrepreneurs participated in the intellectually stimulating and practically oriented session designed to equip them with tools to structure and analyse their business models from end to end.

This was the first training session from the series of business workshops organized by TSiBA Ignition Centre and Cape Town Chamber of Commerce scheduled for the next six months for the local entrepreneurs that will cover all the critical aspects of running a business – management, finance, marketing, computer skills and legal compliance.

We’ve had nothing but positive feedback from the participants, and they all expressed gratitude that the session was kept interactive and practical as well as willingness to attend future sessions.

In line with the mission and values of TSiBA, we designed this 6 months’ workshop series to support the entrepreneurs in the Mitchells Plain area by strengthening their business skills and providing professional mentorship.

“The workshop allowed me to zoom out of my day-to-day activities and look at my business holistically once again”, E-Commerce Entrepreneur
“This was one of the most interactive business workshops that I have attended!”, Small Business Owner – Fashion Industry.

The Tertiary School in Business Administration (TSiBA) was founded in 2004 with a vision to “Ignite Opportunity”.  Our mission is to be an innovative learning community that graduates entrepreneurial leaders who ignite opportunity and social change.
