The Igniter is the official student newspaper; it was established in 2008 by BBA 1 and 2 students with the help of Sunny Wright, an intern from the United States, and Beverley Basson, the current faculty advisor and Relationships Manager at TSiBA.

The vision of the Igniter is to create an institution of students that are well informed about current issues and are inspired to speak out. The Igniter is looking at maintaining its consistency in releasing inspiring and informative issues each month.

It has managed to partner with people from the corporate world of business to ensure that the calibre and standard of the newspaper is outstanding. The editorial team is dedicated and hard working, and learning in the process, to ensure that an issue is published each month. This team is very excited about the success of The Igniter and its future endeavors.
