TSiBA’s Academic Advisory Council (AAC) is a committee of the Board of Directors of TSiBA Education that advises the Board on all academic matters and sets the strategy for this. The AAC, which meets quarterly, is chaired by Professor Eon Smit, the former director of the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
In addition to meeting the quality benchmarks set by the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC), a unit of the Department of Education’s Council on Higher Education (CHE), an Independent Assessment and Examinations Board (IAEB) was established in 2007. Reporting into the AAC, they are mandated to ensure and maintain high standards of quality, relevance and the integrity of processes.  Experts from business as well as local and international tertiary institutions annually:

• Reviews the TSiBA BBA curriculum as a whole and benchmarks the curricula against national and world standards
• Reviews and approves continuous assessment methods for each course
• Reviews and approves examination processes and verifies the integrity of TSiBA examinations in general
• Moderates at least 50% of the total assessment components (setting and marking) of each module per academic year.

The Tertiary School in Business Administration (TSiBA) was founded in 2004 with a vision to “Ignite Opportunity”.  Our mission is to be an innovative learning community that graduates entrepreneurial leaders who ignite opportunity and social change.

TSiBA is registered and accredited with the Department of Education as a private higher education institution (No: 2007/HE08/001). We currently have an urban campus in Pinelands, Cape Town and a rural campus, TSIBA Eden, in the town of Karatara, near Knysna.
