Every student accepted at TSiBA is awarded a full tuition scholarship for the CPBA or the HCBA. A further scholarship to study TSiBA’s BBA degree may be awarded on
1) successful completion of the HCBA OR
2) successful completion of the application process
From 2013, tuition scholarships for the degree programme will be awarded on a sliding scale basis.
A TSiBA Education tuition scholarship includes:
• Academic infrastructure – lecturers, tutors, classrooms
• Academic materials – textbooks, course packs
• Examination materials – examinations answer booklets, exam papers
• Experiential Learning Activities – e.g. internships, Orientation Camp, Wilderness programme, Hero Speakers
• Support Services – Counseling, Entrepreneurship Centre, Careers Centre
• Access to the use of computer laboratories
• An allocated amount of paper for printing and photocopying purposes.
• One student card
• Name badge
• Use of locker
• Access to the use of a fully stocked library
• Breakfast and an end-of-day meal each week day during term time, sponsorship dependent
A tuition scholarship does not include the following:
• Transportation
• Accommodation
• Lunch, dinner, refreshments
• Stationery
• Clothing
• General subsistence
BBA2 and BBA3 students at TSiBA Cape Town may apply for financial assistance through TSiBA’s Financial Aid Board to cover the expenses that the tuition scholarship does not. This assistance is in the form of a loan and repayment conditions apply. BBA1 students may apply from June. HCBA and foreign students do not qualify for this assistance.
Students from out of town who are accepted at TSiBA Eden are awarded a further hostel scholarship that includes:
• Accommodation
• Lunch, dinner, refreshments
TSiBA Eden also provides transportation for students who do not board (e.g. live in Sedgefield, Knysna or neighbouring towns).
