Leigh Meinert
Leigh Meinert is a co-founder of TSiBA. In her role as Managing Director she is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and ultimate accountability for the institution. Leigh holds a BA in Value and Policy Studies from Stellenbosch University and is currently pursuing Master’s studies in Higher Education at UCT.
Adri Marais
Adri Marais is a co-founder of TSiBA. As the Executive Director, Academic Programmes, she is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and delivery of all aspects of TSiBA’s academic programmes. Adri has an MSc in Biochemistry and an MBA.
Gia Whitehead
Gia Whitehead is a co-founder of TSiBA and holds the role of Sustainability Director. She is responsible for fundraising through CSI and Enterprise Development and building TSiBA’s endowment through the TSiBA Sustainability Fund. She has a Bachelor of Information Technology and postgraduate diploma in Enterprise Management at UCT.
Nolan Beudeker
Nolan Beudeker is the Curriculum Manager, Leadership and Self Development anchor and capstone project Course Convener. She has a BA (Psychology and Law) from UCT and an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. Nolan has extensive experience in both general business and management consulting but has specialised in leadership development, change leadership and organisational development.
Tyson Wadeley
As the Mathematics Assistant, Tyson Wadeley tutors Mathematics and assists during Mathematics lectures and in giving students individual assistance when needed. He has a BSc in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from UCT.
Philip Broster
Philip Broster is the Business Communication anchor. He holds a BSocSc (Hons), Master’s in Philosophy (Diversity Studies) and Diploma in Outdoor Adventure Tourism.
Ken Holness
Ken Holness is the Accounting and Finance courses anchor. Ken holds a BCom (University of Natal) and BCom (Hons) from UNISA, an MDP from UNISA, Higher Diplomas in Tax Law from RAU and Tax from UNISA.
Abe Olivier
Abe Olivier is the Entrepreneurship anchor. His role is to strike a balance between Entrepreneurship theory and a conducive environment where students can ignite businesses in practice or execute entrepreneurial projects. He holds a BEcon (Hons) from UWC and is currently registered for Masters studies at CPUT.
Patience Modiri
Patience Modiri is the Economics anchor with key responsibilities in developing and delivering the Economics curricula. She holds a BCom (Economics and Statistics).
John Durr
John Durr is the Marketing Anchor. He holds an Executive MBA from Henley Management College and several diplomas and certificates in the fields of General Management and Project Management. John is also a member of the I.B.A (Institute of Business Advisors) and a business advisor to Khula/DTI start up companies in the Western Cape.
Lisa Cloete
Lisa Cloete is the Quality Assurance Manager and she is responsible for compliance with government legislation, academic integrity and overall quality assurance of the academic offering. Lisa holds a BSocSc in Psychological Studies from UCT, BSocSc (Hons) in Criminology & Criminal Justice from UCT and a BCom (Hons) in Management from UWC.
Lucia Gonsalves
Lucia Gonsalves is the Academic Coordinator. She recruits and supports subject anchors, lecturers and tutors.
Thandeka Yawa
Thandeka Yawa is the Academic Assistant. She is responsible for capturing marks, managing attendance reports and providing assistance to the Quality Assurance Manager and the Registrar.
Dorothea Hendricks
Dorothea Hendricks is the Student Psychologist. She counsels students in one-on-one and group sessions and present weekly reflection sessions for all students. She holds a BA (Hons), H.D.E. and Master’s degrees in Education and Psychology.
Ilana Barling
As the librarian, Ilana Barling manages, organises and disseminates information to this academic community and teaches information retrieval skills to the students. Her qualifications are a BA (UCT) in Sociology and African History and a Higher Diploma in Librarianship and Information Science (Wits).
Benu Mukhopadhyay
Benu Makhupadhyay runs the Careers Centre. She conducts career management lectures and activities to prepare students for the world of work. Educated in the UK, Benu has a BA (Hons), MSc (Marketing) and Certificate in Education.
Loyiso Koyana
Loyiso Koyana is the Pay it Forward co-ordinator. He mentors the leaders of the student clubs and societies and oversees community projects Peer Education and the Spirit of Youth programme.
Kim Hickley
Kim Hickley is a pioneering graduate from TSiBA Education, achieving her BBA in 2008. In her role as Student Development Officer, she is responsible for the experiential learning programmes such wilderness, mankind, womankind and orientation. She manages the mentorship and hero speaker programmes and anchors the Leadership and Self Development course for the Higher Certificate in Business Administration (HCBA).
Ntombiza Lingani
Ntombiza Lingani is the Marketing Coordinator. Her main responsibilities can be summed up as building the brand, training staff and students on proper use of the marketing materials and policies, source adequate and sufficient marketing materials, knowledge management and social media. She is also a TSiBA BBA graduate.
Beverley Basson
Beverley Basson manages relationships with TSiBA’s donors and funders. She holds a BA degree and Higher Diploma in Education (Stellenbosch) and is currently working towards a Master’s in Business Leadership (Unisa).
Tania Majavie
Tania Majavie is the Student Recruitment Officer. Her role is to present TSiBA at schools, career exhibitions, communities and anywhere else where TSiBA can ignite opportunity. She is also a TSiBA BBA Graduate.
Lindelwa Hanjana
Lindelwa Hanjana is the Campus Manager and her role is to manage the cleaning, security, maintenance and health and safety on campus.
Zukile Adonis
Zukile Adonis is the Campus Assistant to Lindelwa.
Feziwe Swartbooi
Feziwe Swartbooi is the Receptionist and assists with visitor and telephone inquiries.
Achmat Kazie
Achmat Kazie is the Financial Manager. He manages TSiBA’s payments and accounts and provides monthly and annual financial reports.
Busi Tukwayo
Busi Tukwayo in her role as Finance Assistant holds all the administration in the Finance Department. Busi Tukwayo holds a certificate in Bookkeeping, a certificate in Pastel Accounting from Varsity College, Advanced Excel and a Higher Certificate from TSiBA Education.
Sonja Hagins
Sonja Hagins is the Operations Supervisor at the Ignition Centre. She responds to inquiries, receives visitors and screens potential new entrepreneurs. She also organises events such as the NU field study programme, Global Entrepreneurship week and quarterly breakfast networking forums. She is currently completing a one-year certificate in Basic Counselling (Unisa).
Cindy Krawe
Cindy Krawe is a TSiBA BBA Graduate and she is the TSiBA Community Training Coordinator. TSiBA and Cindy have entered into a joint venture to start the TSiBA Community Training programme that develops and offers a range of courses aimed at serving the needs of prospective entrepreneurs and unemployed members of the communities TSiBA serves.
