The TSiBA Career Management Centre was started in 2007 as one of our initiatives to assist graduates entering the market.
The role of the Career Management Centre includes:
Internships
The TSiBA Career Management Centre sources internships for students as part of their Business Communications and Career Management curriculum. Each student of TSiBA is required to do an internship annually thereby ensuring practical experience is embedded with theoretical learning.
Job Generation
For many of our students finding part-time work is the difference between being able to continue with their studies, and having to leave studying to earn a living for their families. The TSiBA Career Management Centre plays an active part in sourcing and placing students in part-time positions. In many cases, these positions form part of longer term partnerships with our donors, sponsors and friends of TSiBA.
Career Guidance
As part of an ongoing relationship with our students, the Career Management Centre provides career guidance and mentoriship through the process of applying for full time employment. Foundation Year students complete a course (Business Management and Career Management) which educates and trains them in the skills needed for CV writing, interviewing etc.
