The TSiBA EDUCATION TRUST is a 100% broad-based black empowerment trust. In terms of the trust deed the beneficiaries are the present and future black students of TSiBA EDUCATION

Vision: TSiBA Education Trust is a vehicle that creates innovative and independent revenue streams that will ensure TSiBA Education’s sustainability for the long-term.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The trustees of the TSiBA Education Trust:

 

The founder of the trust, TSiBA Education, has appointed six trustees, one of whom is a member of the student body. The deed requires that this student representative is replaced annually in consultation with TSiBA and the student body. Subject to certain specific requirements there is no limit to the term of office of the other trustees.

All of the above individuals perform their function on a pro-bono basis and have no financial interest in TSiBA Education Trust.

 

Current Investments:

 

Effective Intelligence (EI)

 

TET holds an equity share in a EI, a private company specialising in data solutions related to direct mail, data services, customer-centric programmes and specialised technology development.

 

Thembeka Capital

 

Thembeka Capital is a broad-based black owned and controlled investment management company that focuses on private equity and BEE transactions. The acquisition of equity was financed by means of a preference share issued to a private equity fund in the Old Mutual Investments group.

 

         

Funding for further transactions

 

As a result of a donation by BATSA, TET has access to a limited amount of unemcumbered risk capital for empowerment investments and has the capacity to partner with enterprises seeking a true empowerment partner.
